Dimapur, March 18 (MExN): MLA of 5 Ghaspani-II Assembly Constituency, Zhaleo Rio has reiterated that NDPP led PDA government is “for the common Naga people with a vision to bring about change, progress and prosperity.” He was addressing party workers during the second general meet-cum-picnic of the party held at TL Angami Park on March 17.
Hinting that there should never be any more confusion on change in governance, Zhaleo stressed that the PDA-led government had already nailed a “33 inch nail to settle matter in the 13th NLA” which is more than the required majority, stated a press release from president Duosau Kuotsu and press secretary Thejangukho Yalietsu of NDPP, 5 Ghaspani-II A/C.
Meanwhile, the MLA thanked party workers and well wishers for his win in the State assembly election for a second time in a row and pledged to play a pivotal role of being their leader according to the party's manifesto.
He also recalled the selfless sacrifice of his party workers which led him to be one of the only two to win by the largest margin for NDPP candidates during the recent general elections, the release added.
The event was attended by party workers, besides Khumu, MLA, 57 Thonokyu A/C, who also declared he along with the rest of the PDA is committed to bring about change for a better Nagaland, it further informed.
Several organisations felicitated the two MLAs while expressing their faith in the democratically elected members to bring about change for the Nagas as a whole, the release added.
Tokihe Zhimomi, Chief Election Agent meanwhile lauded party workers and the picnic committee who served as the backbone all throughout the days of toil. He appealed the people to unite regardless of differences so that development can take place and at the same time, bring about a final solution to the Naga political issue according to consensus.
The program was chaired by Miatho-u Krose, Founding Member & General Secretary, NDPP (Central), while invocation was led by Ningukolie Kehie, Pastor, CRC Rüzaphema.
