
Says facility will also extend to Kohima Science College, NU and all DC’s offices in Nagaland

The People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) government has decided to provide free WiFi hotspot application in the state capital Kohima and all Deputy Commissioner’s office across Nagaland.
This was announced by Nagaland’s information technology, science & technology and new & renewable energy advisor, Mmhonlumo Kikon during the Nagaland Innovation Expo 2018 held at the state capital. The expo was organized by Kohima Science College Students Union Jotsoma (KCSUJ) and sponsored by department of science & technology and co-sponsored by department of higher education.
The facility will also be extended to Kohima Science College (Autonomous), Jotsoma, three campuses of Nagaland University- Lumami, Kohima and Medziphema and all DC’s offices of all the districts in Nagaland.
Kikon said the facility would be put into effect in some months time as setting up of necessary infrastructure would takes time. He said the facility is a special gift to students and the internet users as the government want to address issue of concern by being sensitive to the needs of the people.
Kikon also hoped that the students will get benefit from such facility as it was targeted at pushing them forward in their academic career.
Lauding the initiation of Nagaland Innovation Expo, Kikon assured fullest support from the government side, adding that the government would support the initiative and make it as an annual affair in Nagaland.
He was optimistic that the Expo would grow bigger, better and will have effect global base in the state in the days to come.
Earlier welcome speech was delivered by Dr. Lily Sema, principal, Kohima Science College (Autonomous) Jotsoma while introduction of the expo was made by KSCSUJ science club secretary, Keyileurangbe Thou.
