
Kohima, October 13 (MExN): The People’s Democratic Alliance (PDA) MLAs and its Coordination Committee in a joint meeting held at the State Banquet Hall, Kohima on October 12 has resolved “to stand firm to the pre and post-alliance of the PDA under the leadership of Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio”. The house also reiterated its commitment “to provide stability and pursue the progressive developmental goals of the NDA Government” under the leadership of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The PDA also expressed its appreciation to the “numerous contributions of State Governments, organizations and individuals for relief and rehabilitation and towards the Chief Minister's Relief fund” in response to the natural calamities that occurred in different parts of Nagaland.
The PDA condoles the demise of former PM Vajpayee, “a towering personality in the history of the country” and the demise of honorable MLA, Imtikumzuk who served the people of Nagaland and Mokokchung in particular “in a selfless and committed manner”.
According to a DIPR report, the House agreed to hold “a full-fledged Cabinet Meeting in Kiphire District” as a part of the PDA Government's endeavour to take governance and administration to all corners of the State.
The House also expressed its appreciation to all the citizens of the State for positively responding to the appeal of the State Government for mass social work and cleanliness drive and further appealed the citizens to continue “to pursue the goals of a Clean & Green Nagaland”.
