Phek, June 12 (MExN): In delayed commemoration of World Environment Day and with an intention of fighting against global warming, the Phek District Veteran Football Association (PDVFA) organized a tree plantation drive in and around Phek Town public ground on June 11, 2016.
According to a press release issued by PDVFA Press Secretary, Kuzhovesa Soho, more than 90 tree saplings of different varieties were planted in protected form by more than 20 members of the PDVFA.
Acknowledging the Divisional Forest Officer (DFO), Phek, Ronsenglemla Imchen (IFS) for providing the tree saplings, the PDVFA has appealed to the general public to take care of the planted saplings.
