Dimapur, May 20 (MExN): Peace channel, a youth peace movement was launched in Zunheboto district with the message of peace and prosperity for the people. Coordinator of Zunheboto district David Nikha in a press release said that the people of the area whole heartedly welcomed the movement. Peace channel initiates towards garnering the power of the youth to make peace a possibility and way of life. It primarily focusing on the youth and moulds them to become peace lovers, makers and promoters in the families and society. The movement is aiming at forming and transforming them to be the peace activists.
David Neikha, coordinator introduced the peace clubs in five schools namely Corner stone, Immanuel, Merry hill, Seven home and Woodland school, respectively. He highlighted on the concept of the movement and its activities, and future plans for the district. He also invited the clubs members to practice daily activities of peace and exhorted them to be non violent communicators in their daily life. The movement received warm welcome and absolute co-operation from the civil society and the heads of the institution of the districts. It is the hope and belief of the people that the younger generations can transform the society into a better Society.
