Peaceful ULB election in Kohima, says DC

Kohima | June 26

Kohima Deputy Commissioner, Kumar Ramnikant stated that the ULB Election to Kohima Municipal Council (KMC) was held peacefully across Kohima town on June 26 “We have not received any major report of law and order problem in Kohima district,” said Ramnikant while talking to media persons. There are 19 wards under KMC out of which 5 uncontested.

Election was held in 14 wards across 76 polling stations in Kohima. DC commended that all the wards chairmen have done exceptionally well and supported the election team and polling personnel. One man one vote was imposed and the election was held peacefully across Kohima town, the DC Kohima added.
