Kohima, November 23 (MExN): The National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bangalore visited Don Bosco College Kohima on November 21 and 22 for the re-assessment of the college’s 1st NAAC cycle which was earlier conducted on March 2021. 

The peer team was led by Dr. Ashok Singh, Vice Chancellor Sant Gahira Guru University Sarguja, Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh as the Chairperson, Dr. Indira Mahendravada, Former Professor, Department of Economics, University of Mysore, Karnataka as the Member Coordinator and Dr Tarani Kara, Principal F M Autonomous College Balasore, Orissa as the Member.

During the two day visit, the team verified and assessed both qualitative and quantitative aspects of the college.

Day one included power point presentations by the college Principal, IQAC coordinator, Head of Departments, interactions with students, academic and non-academic staffs, governing bodies, parents and alumni along with physical verifications of the college facilities. The day culminated with a brief cultural programme organised by the students.

The second day was marked with meetings and interactions with Head of various committees, cells and clubs.

The team also reviewed several centers of the college viz. Gym, Museum, Yoga, Child Day care, Staff Quarters etc.

The two day visit ended with discussion with the Principal and IQAC coordinator, followed by an exit meeting with all the staffs and student leaders of the college.

For this assessment period, the college has put in its best in fulfilling all parameters for quality education and enhancement; and further looks forward for a positive outcome.
