PEGUU changes nomenclature to ANTPEUU

Dimapur, August 11 (MExN): The Physical Education Graduate Unemployed Union (PEGUU) in order to broaden its scope, has resolved to change its nomenclature to All Nagaland Trained Physical Education Unemployed Union (ANTPEUU). It was resolved during its first meeting on August 10 at Tourist Lodge, Dimapur. As envisaged during the formation of the union, the ANTPEUU reiterated its stand for unity and to strive for justice in terms of job placements since there were no advertisements for vacancies, a press release from ANTPEUU stated. It further observed that most posts were held by unqualified candidates.
Another matter of “deep concern,” the Union pointed out was that many physical education graduates were “on the verge of becoming overaged, due to delay by the government to appoint qualified candidates.”

Menawhile, a new team of office bearers were selected under the leadership of Kivili K Kiba as President and Imchatsung as General Secretary.
