Penamhung wins 25th Zeliang wrestling tournament

Reigning champion Penamhung today retained the title by defeating Keheirie in the final bout during 25th Zeliang Wrestling Tournament organized by Zeliang Wrestling Association (ZWA) at Old Peren Town.
Son of Namchuilak from Mpai Village, Penamhung walked away with a cash prize of Rs. 80,000.
Keheirie, Ihilu and Isapsi stood second, third and fourth place and awarded with Rs, 50,000, Rs. 30,000 and Rs. 20,000 respectively.
Earlier, Dr. Neikiesalie Kire, advisor Urban Development and Municipal Affairs graced the occasion as the special guest.
Nagaland Wrestling Association (NWA) president Pfudoulhou Kense gave away prize to the winners.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by ZWA technical secretary Keheipu Sephe while presidential address was delivered by ZWA president K. Mark Guing. ZWA vice president Amos Pame administered oath to the wrestlers.
