Kohima, December 5 (MExN): PenThrill Publication House formally released its 114th and 115th publications, Raindrops of Dostoevsky and Loving Lauren & Lauren, written by Nzan Kikon, at Otssi Ohan Kohima on Thursday. The programme began with a dedicatory prayer by Medoneilie Mechülho, Chaplain of G. Rio Higher Secondary School Kohima.

Speaking at the launch, Kikon described Raindrops of Dostoevsky, his debut poetry collection, as a "natural progression" of his writing journey. He added, "When you are deep into literature, poetry is the quintessential manifestation." In the collection, Kikon explores themes including God, sin, love, nothingness, depression, and the experience of being in a void.

His other release, Loving Lauren & Lauren, is his third novel, following The Starry Night (2018) and The Unlikely Indians (2019). Kikon said the novel has "layers of meaning dwelling on the fractured human mind, and what we go through as human beings," with its deepest layer being a love story. He emphasized that he writes not for financial gain but as a dedication to the art, even if his books do not sell.

In her publisher’s note, Vishü Rita Krocha, Publisher of PenThrill Publication House, spoke of her long association with Kikon and commended his consistency, reflected in the number of books he has authored over the past seven years. She expressed hope that he would continue writing with dedication, contributing life and variety to the state’s growing body of literature.
