MOKOKCHUNG, JUNE 19 (DIPR): In an effort to facilitate faster economic growth, the villagers of Salulemang (Mokokchung) and Mongtikang (Longleng) jointly constructed a suspension bridge measuring 200 feet in length and 3 feet in width over river Dikhu. It is a landmark achievement for the people of this area as the construction cost to the tune of Rs. 30,000 was solely borne by both the villagers. While inaugurating the bridge on 6th June 2006, EAC Chuchuyimlang, Along Dhimen Jamir expressed his appreciation to the villagers for their vision and relentless effort. He also added that this will be an eye-opener for others to emulate such noble ventures.
