Peren, January 28 (MExN): The first Peren District Childline Advisory Board (CAB) meeting for the year 2020 was held on January 27 at Deputy Commissioner's Conference Hall, District Headquarter New Peren under the chairmanship of DC Peren, SentiwapangAier, NCS.
A DIPR report stated that the first agenda discussed in the CAB meeting include rescue vehicle for CHILDLINE Peren. On the requirement of rescue vehicle, the board after a long deliberation decided to put forward in the DPDB meeting.
The board also deliberated on the need of creation of Child Protection database by CHILDLINE in collaboration with Peren Police and also discussed to make Identity Card for CHILDLINE Peren which is to be signed by the Deputy Commissioner.
Discussions were also held to organize sensitization program on CHILDLINE 1098, POCSO Act, JJ Act for Doctors and Nurses of District Hospital, Peren in collaboration with PDLSA and DCPU Peren. Inclusion of CHILDLINE Peren as member in DCPU and CHILDLINE membership in Anti-Human Trafficking & District Task Force of Child Labour was also discussed.
PowerPoint presentation on CHILDLINE 1098 was presented by CHILDLINE Nodal Coordinator, Niketu wherein he highlighted some of the major achievements and statistical representation of data for the districts of Dimapur, Kohima, Mokokchung and Peren from the year April 2018 to September 2019.
In the presentation, he also stated, CHILDLINE is operating in 549 Districts all over the country while in Peren, CHILDLINE 1098 was launched in July 2019 under the initiatives of Rongmei Baptist Association.
