Peren, October 8 (MExN): Peren Council, the apex body of all Peren villages held its general session at New Peren Village (host village) Council hall on September 27.
As per a press release from Heutinggumbe (C/J) stated Treasurer Dr Zieleigai Ndang and Secretary Dr Ndangkie Ndang placed their respective report for the tenure 2015-2019 to the general body which was unanimously accepted by the house.
With a view to give equal representation to all bonafide members of Peren community, Article no 15 (proportionate representation) was added to the constitution of Peren Council as approved by the general body.
The release also added that a new team of office bearers for the tenure 2019 – 2020 was elected/selected by Gwangbeu Ndang as election chairman and Namnabi Hegui as election secretary.
Gumchu Hegui was selected as President, Hairagum Hega as Vice President, Ndangkie Ndang as Secretary, along with six other members, three auditors and seven advisors. Chairman Peren Village, Chairman New Peren Village and Chairman Kezanglwa Village were selected as executive members.
The blessing for the new office bearers was pronounced by Namrengong, Pastor New Peren, while vote of thanks was given by Pauheigwang Hegui, Chairman Kezanglwa village.
