PEREN, AUGUST 28 (MExN): Deputy Commissioner of Peren, Vineet Kumar, IAS, has issued an advisory to the public regarding outbreak of Conjunctivitis (Eye Flu) in Peren district. The DC advised frequent hand washing and the use of sanitizers as preventive measures. Additionally, individuals are encouraged to avoid touching and rubbing their eyes and are advised against sharing towels and handkerchiefs. The advisory also suggested cleaning eyeglasses frequently using alcohol disinfectant and recommended refraining from using swimming pools during this outbreak. Close contact with infected individuals should also be avoided.
Educational institutions, both government and private, have been directed to monitor and manage the spread of the infection among students. Symptomatic students are to be granted leave to prevent further transmission. Institutions with high case numbers are to report to the relevant administrative officer and suspend classes if necessary.
