Peren DPDB meeting reviews development projects

Peren, October 6 (MExN): The monthly meeting of the Peren District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner and Vice Chairman, DPDB Peren, Hiazu Meru at the office of Deputy Commissioner, Peren on October 6.

According to a DIPR report, the meeting reviewed the minutes of the previous meeting, including the adoption of Peren Government College, adoption of schools and hospitals, a review on the adoption of off-season crops, and the selection of one village under each RD Block as a pilot project.

The Deputy Commissioner expressed gratitude to all departments for their cooperation during the monthly departmental social work conducted on the fourth Friday of each month. He urged Heads of Offices to ensure strict supervision of their staff to ensure diligent public service.

ADC Peren, D. Robin, the Convenor of the Inter-Departmental Tournament, announced that this year's tournament is proposed to be held from November 12 to 14 in Jalukie. The event will be exclusively for government employees posted in Peren District. He outlined the disciplines and guidelines, seeking full cooperation for the successful conduct of the event.

A PowerPoint presentation on "People, Forests & Payment for Ecosystem Services (PES)" was also delivered by Dr. Pentile Thong from Rongmei Baptist Association and Landstack Nagaland Team.
