DIMAPUR, DECEMBER 3 (MExN): The Peren Government College, Peren began its 32nd annual games and sport meet cum literary & cultural fest on December 3, The event will go on till December 7.
A press note informed that the inaugural session was carried out with Rahul Mali (IAS) SDO (Civil), Peren as the chief guest. In the program, Mali shared his view on the importance of sports in students’ lives, encouraged the students to inculcate the spirit of sportsmanship and assured that the administration is always there to assist and work hand-in-hand with the college for uplifting the cause of the students.
Dr. Katoni Jakhalu, Principal, PGC, in her exhortation speech urged the students to give their best not only in studies but also in extracurricular activities such as sports and games to excel in life.
The program was chaired by Rezulungbe, General Secretary, PGCSU; prayer by Igumsing, Asst. Social & Cultural Secy; welcome address by Haigurang Nren, Games and Sports Secy, PGCSU; song by Kewizin, 4th Semester Student, PGC followed with oath taking by Nzaigongbe, Asst. Games & Sports Secy., PGC, and declaration of the games and sports by the chief guest.
