Peren, July 20 (MExN): Sensitization programme on HIV/AIDS and STI was conducted at Peren Government College, Peren on July 19, where 88 students were sensitized on the basics of HIV/AIDS and STI.
The program was chaired by Albert, Vice Principal, Peren Government College, who acknowledged the Peren District AIDS Control & Prevention Unit (DAPCU) team for organising such programme, informed a press release received here.
Pauheugau, Programme Assistant, gave a brief PowerPoint presentation on the district scenario of Peren, while Ngauzeulungbe, District ICTC Supervisor, presented on the basics of what HIV/AIDS is and stigma and discrimination associated with it. He also stressed on the prevention and measures to abstain from HIV/AIDS.
Heluipoing Poireng, Monitoring & Evaluation Assistant, Peren DAPCU gave a PowerPoint presentation on what STI is, the different types of STI, and its measures and prevention.
