Peren govt officials cautioned against truancy

Dimapur, November 9 (MExN): Peren Deputy Commissioner Vineet Kumar has cautioned government officials to be present at their stations to ensure the smooth functioning of the Office and to cater to the needs of the common public.

DC Kumar who is also the Vice-Chairman of the Peren District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) stated this during the Board meeting on November 7, as per a DIPR report received here on Wednesday.

He said that several complaints have been received from the public regarding the absence of officers, and as such, cautioned the officers against truancy.

Presiding the meeting, the DC requested the district Head of Departments to ensure that all the employees under their respective Departments get registered under the Chief Minister Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) at the earliest. He also asked the departments that have not submitted the requisite information and report regarding District Skill Development Plan, to submit them within the month of November.

According to the DIPR, the DC also informed the members that the Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority (NSDMA) will be conducting the annual Nagaland Emergency Preparedness Exercise (NEPEx) on November 15 and 16 to test the capability of the State to respond and manage any mega-disaster. In this regard, he appealed to extend their sincere support and make the programme a success.

On the agenda for publicity of various departmental activities, DC urged the departmental heads to promptly forward their activities in the DPDB WhatsApp group or share them with the DPRO Peren to ensure that different activities are reflected in different news agencies.

The house also approved the tentative dates (November 24-25) proposed by the sub-committee to conduct Inter-Departmental Tournament at Indoor Stadium, Jalukie which will include events such as-Badminton, Carom & Penalty Shoot-out, the DIPR report stated.

In the meeting, Senior Treatment Supervisor, Christy from Medical Department gave a detailed presentation on the Nikshay Mitra Scheme which is an initiative of the National Tuberculosis Elimination Programme (NTEP), while the People's Plan Campaign (PPC) 2022 for Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) for the Financial Year 2023-2024 was also highlighted by PD, Moa Sangtam.
