Mokokchung, October 9 (MExN): The Mokokchung District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) was held under the chairmanship of Speaker NLA & Chairman DPDB Mokokchung, Sharingain Longkumer at DC’s conference hall, Mokokchung on October 9.
While taking note of the status report of capital assets from the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Sharingain Longkumer came up with the issue of not having any trauma centre in the district.
As per a DIPR report, with the increase of vehicles and commuters, the chairman said that it was pertinent to have trauma centre so as to provide immediate care for patients suffering from major traumatic injuries such as falls, motor vehicle accidents, thereby saving lives through timely intervention. He asked the concern department to put up proposal so that it can be materialise in the coming days.
The chairman also asked the PHED department to give detail report in the next meeting regarding the failure of water sources and also to suggest other alternatives so as to discuss and find solution about the scarcity of water in the district.
Status report of capital assets was presented by the department of Art & Culture, Urban Development, Electrical Division, Taxes, Health & Family Welfare, District Institute of Education Training, Land Record & Survey and PHED.
Proposal for inclusion of construction of Multi-utility Complex at Chungtia Village, Mokokchung was approved and forwarded to the Government for further action. The department of Social Welfare gave a Power Point presentation.
