Kohima, May 13 (MExN): For the first time, the Printing Technologist Consortium of North East (PeTCONE) and Nagaland Printing Technologist Association (NPTA) had a joint meeting on May 10 at Hotel URA, Kohima.
The meeting was presided by Pranab Kr. Talukdar, President, PeTCON. Advisor S.R. Marak, Director, Printing & Stationery Meghalaya exhorted and interacted with the technocrats. While Anil Deka, Secretary PeTCONE demonstrated on machines and marketing strategy, followed by serious discussion.
During the discussion, the technocrat reviewed the infrastructure developments and machinery capacity of printing presses both government and private sector, and prepared a road map for all round development of printing industry in the state which will be submitted to the government of Nagaland.
On Mat 11, the Consortium visited the Nagaland Printing & Stationery, and surveyed the infrastructure and position of the office and had a meeting with department officials and printing technologist. They discussed about modernizing the office with advanced technology and to improvise the skills of the employees.
Additional Director, Wati L. Imchen informed that now the department is improving and will shine too as I have teamed-up all the professional Printing Technologist together and using their professional and analytical skill for the upliftment of the department.
