Petrol prices slashed by 78 paise

New Delhi, November 30 (AGENCIES): In a fresh development that comes as a relief for the customers, petrol prices have again been slashed by 78 paise. The move will be effective from Wednesday midnight. The price of petrol has been slashed because of a fall in the international crude prices. This is the second price cut in 15 days as the oil companies had earlier cut prices by Rs 2.22 per litre on November 15. However, it must be noted that petrol prices have been hiked 13 times since June 2010. Meanwhile, the oil firms hiked jet fuel price by 3.7 per cent.
