Pfutsero Govt College bids farewell to Principal

Outgoing principal of Pfutsero Government College, Dr Tialila.

PFUTSERO, May 25 (MExN): Pfutsero Government College held a farewell program to honor outgoing principal Dr. Tialila.

Faculty and student representatives lauded Dr. Tialila’s contributions during a ceremony held at the college auditorium. Faculty members Neipre-u Mero and Neichupe Kapfo, along with student leaders Tshewa Akami, Dietho Khatso, and Duti Sarah, praised her supportive leadership style and personal investment in the college community.

Chairperson Chothazo Nienu emphasized the importance of retaining talented officials within the Chakhesang community and commended Dr. Tialila’s efficiency and dedication during her time at the college.

Despite infrastructural limitations, Dr. Tialila spearheaded several key developments, including the renovation of the college library and auditorium, the institution of the Best Performing Department Award, and the launch of student-driven programs such as the Earn While You Learn (EWYL) project, the Yuva Tourism Hiking Club, and Project Aspire Prep School Classes.

She also prioritized academic enrichment through initiatives like monthly departmental wall magazines, a colloquium lecture series, and entrepreneurship skill development programs. Her tenure further strengthened institutional ties through memoranda of understanding with Eagle Crest, the Research Foundation of India, and the Nagaland Tool Room & Training Centre.

In her farewell address, Dr. Tialila expressed gratitude for the support she received and reaffirmed her confidence in the college’s future. “Pfutsero Government College is close to my heart,” she said, urging the community to continue striving for academic and social excellence. Dr. Tialila has been transferred to Wangkhao Government College. The college community extended its thanks and best wishes for her next chapter in service.
