PGC declared ‘Tobacco Free Campus’

Students of Peren Government College with faculty after the awareness programme on ‘Tobacco Free World’ held on February 20.

Peren, February 20 (MExN): Peren Government College (PGC), Peren was today declared “Tobacco Free Campus” during an awareness program on ‘Tobacco Free World.’

The awareness programme was organized by the College Tobacco Control Committee in collaboration with NTCP, Peren district. Dr Sabino, District Nodal Officer, Peren in her speech as special guest highlighted upon the ill-effects of tobacco consumption and administered the anti-tobacco pledge to the students. Later, she handed over the certificate of recognition to the Principal of the college.

The program was chaired by Joseph KJ, Asst Professor and Convenor, Anti-Tobacco Committee, PGC, while welcome address was delivered by Dr Katoni Jakhalu, Principal, PGC. 6th semester students presented a song, while vote of thanks was delivered by Albert, Vice Principal, PGC.
