PGC observes Fresher’s Day

Phek, July 29 (MExN): Pfutsero Government College (PGC) observed its 37th Fresher’s Day on July 26 with the theme “Fuelling purpose with passion” with Katho P Awomi, ANCSU President as the guest speaker.

 


A press release from Mass Media Committee, PGC stated Awomi in his speech highlighted the challenges faced by the ANCSU for a better and just future of the society.

 


The President assured that ANCSU is for the welfare of the students and the college community as a whole, and also challenged the students what they can give back to the institution after passing out and while still in college.

 


He also said the society needs people with uniqueness and not an imitator, further challenging the students to promote one’s originality with sincerity and honesty.

 


He also stressed on one’s determination and passion to achieve dreams which would involve sacrifices and hard work from oneself.

 


In the programme, Vice Principal, PGC TL Singsit gave the welcome address and short speech was delivered by Principal Dr Moanochet Longchar.

 


Speech on behalf of the freshers was delivered by Ca Agnes Dukru from BA 1st semester. The Alumni Award 2019 was awarded to Wepetsho-u Ritse for securing highest CGPA in the college in the recently declared end semester result. Mister and Miss Fresher’s were awarded to Mutsihu Chuzho of Economics Department and Depe-ü Vero of Education Department.
