April 21 is 30th Pochury Day
Meluri, April 21 (MExN): The Pochury Hoho (PH) greeted the members of the community on the occasion of 30th Pochury Day and urged them to pledge once again to “stand as a unified and prosperous community.”
On April 21, 1990 Pochury was recognised as an official Naga tribe of Nagaland, a press release from the Hoho informed.
‘With pride, as we celebrate and enjoy the day, let us also honour and remember our visionary leaders who all made a supreme effort in the making of Pochury as a tribe into reality,’ added the release issued by PH General Secretary Er Vichuoto Nyusou.
Meanwhile, stating that the day coincides with the statewide prayer and fasting due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Hoho urged the community members to pray for all and particularly to include a point for safety and welfare of Pochury individuals during the crisis.
