DIMAPUR, MARCH 30 (MExN): The Dimapur Commissioner of Police has issued an order informing all Medical/Pharmacy shops in Dimapur/Chumoukedima/Niuland Districts under Dimapur Police Commissionerate selling scheduled X or H drugs as per Rule 65 of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 to install CCTV cameras inside and outside their shops. “Time period of one month with immediate effect is being given to all the Medical/Pharmacy shops owners for installation of CCTV cameras. Footage of CCTV can be randomly checked by the District Drug Controller Authority/Child Welfare Police Officer anytime,” the Commissioner’s order stated. It further cautioned that in case any Medical/Pharmacy shop owner fails to comply with the order, appropriate action shall be taken against them.
