Phase-wise power shutdown in Tseminyu and Wokha to continue

Kohima, June 14 (MExN):  There will be a shutdown of power supply to Tseminyu district and some areas in Wokha district on June 16 and 17.

The power shutdown, set from 7:30 AM to 5 PM on June 16 and 9:30 AM to 5 PM on June 17, is to facilitate the relocation of 132 kV Towers along National Highway-2 in Longsa village, Wokha. 

This will lead to the shutdown 33kV Tseminyu feeder, stated a notification from Kohima Transmission Division, Department of Power Nagaland.

Accordingly, the power supply to Tseminyu district as well as Longsa and Niropen areas, Niro Range and Totsu area under Wokha District will be affected, it said. 

The department has urged consumers and the public in the affected areas to extend cooperation and bear the inconvenience during the shutdown period.

The department effected similar shutdown from June 12-15 in the aforesaid areas.
