Phek, august 3 (DIPR): Project Director DRDA Phek, Neposo Theluo NCS, was given a grand farewell by host of dignitaries and staffs at General Administration Rest House Phek, on August 3.
The Deputy Commissioner Phek, Mikha Lomi NCS, in his short address mentioned that Neposo Theluo was a sincere, energetic and smart officer who was also a devoted government servant and one who never shrink from his duties and responsibilities even to the extend of sacrificing his personal comfort by devoting his time to uplift the down trodden and working with the poor. He added that government servant transfers are not a new thing, which can sometimes be sad as we part from our own staff. However he congratulated the Project Director for his new assignment and bigger responsibilities, which awaits him. The DC also said that the Project Director, though was a simple person is a man of high thinking, and a man who does in action whatever he speaks. He added that any officer leaving office without regret is a successful officer and that the Project Director was such an officer.
Project Director Neposo Theluo in his farewell address thanked the gathering for the warm farewell accorded to him. He said that he was fortunate to have such sincere and dedicated officers and staffs in the DRDA and block offices. He said that the department had the opportunity to directly deal and serve the public; therefore it should be taken as an opportunity by the officers to work sincerely for the welfare of the people at the grass root level. At the same time he thanked the Deputy Commissioner who is also the Chief Executive officer DRDA for his elderly guidance and support throughout his tenure.
Short farewell speeches were also delivered by Project Officer, DRDA, Phek, Azenuo, BDO Pfutsero, Chuba Jamir, and President Phek, VDs Union Vekhochyi. The new Project Director DRDA Phek, Shayung Phom NCS, was also present in the occasion. The programme was chaired by BDO Phek, Kuhuchuyi while the invocation prayer was led by BDO Sukruzu Zapralhu. The vote of thanks was delivered by BDO Meluri, Zhitho Nyuthe.
