Phek, February 22 (MExN): The Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Phek office conducted an Interpersonal Communication Campaign with different target groups in the form of Focus Group Discussion from February 4 to 20 in 10 villages.

 


The session was carried out by Information Education Communication (IEC) staff, Kutolu Nakro District Media Officer, NHM and Nukhocuyi, Family Welfare Assistant (FWA) with the target groups on maternal health, child health and family planning.

 


Focus Group Discussion session is being carried out so as to obtain detailed information and observes about personal and group feelings, perceptions, opinions, attitudes, beliefs etc towards health care services.

 


During the discussion, the IEC personals also disseminated the information on the different schemes available for mother and child health under JSY and JSSK schemes.

 


The participants were also sensitized the participants on the importance of institutional delivery, immunization and exclusive breastfeeding. During the discussion the groups doubts and confusion on different health issues were also cleared and awareness given.

 


Altogether 136 people participated in the discussion.
