Phek, October 18 (MExN): Concerned farmers of Phek district held a meeting to revitalise the Phek District Farmers’ Union (PDFU) at Pfutsero on October 12. The PDFU was one of the most active farmers’ groups in the State but had remained inactive for the last few years as the tenure of the executive committee expired and a new team had not been inducted, stated a press note received here. During the meeting, Dr Sao Tunyi was selected as the President and Vesalu Puro as General Secretary. Tey were entrusted to coordinate with the farmers from all the Blocks of the district to form a full-fledged PDFU executive committee and revitalize the activities of the union.
