Peren, November 8 (MExN): District Level Co-ordination Committee (DLCC) meeting on National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP) was held on November 6 at DC's Conference Hall New DC Complex Peren under the Chairmanship of S Tainiu Chairman District Level Co-Ordination committee and DC Peren.
Keynote address was delivered by Dr Sabino District Nodal officer NTCP Peren. The members discussed on agenda including information to the public regarding Tobacco Control Act. Enforcement drive under COTPA (cigarettes and other Tobacco products Act 2003), Implementation of Tobacco free educational institutions, villages and Government office.
Dr Sabino in her keynote address mentioned that 17 people availed tobacco control guidelines who are willing to give up tobacco in 2018. DLCC members resolved to give their best for the successful implementation of National Tobacco Control programme in the District with the induction of more members to cover all blocks and Towns in the District.
