Phek DPDB discusses LADP for 2023-2024

Phek, August 16 (MExN): The Phek District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) convened its meeting at the DPDB Hall, Phek on August 10. The session was chaired by Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, Vice Chairman of DPDB and Deputy Commissioner of Phek.

A DIPR report stated that the central topic of discussion was the proposals for Local Area Development Programmes (LADP) for 2023-2024. The house decided to forward the proposals to the State Planning Board for approval.

Advisor for CAWD & Taxes, Kudecho Khamo shared regarding re-christening of PDSA to PDOA. The house expressed agreement in principle to integrate the proposed modalities into the PDOA structure. 

The recommended office bearers for the PDOA included Governing Body; President-Chairman DPDB; Vice President-Deputy Commissioner; Member Secretary-DSO; Organizing Secretary: Select/Nominate, Executive Members: All MLAs, with 4 persons selected/nominated from the General body.

It was determined that the Phek District Olympic Association would function in coordination with the Department of Youth Resources & Sports and the Nagaland Olympic Association, the DIPR stated. 

The meeting also featured presentations by managers from telecom service providers (Jio, Airtel, and BSNL) in the district, showcasing their service activities.

In his address, Chakhesang Public Organization (CPO), President, Vezuhu Keyho appealed to officers stationed in the district to collaborate and strive for optimal outcomes.
