Phek, March 15 (MExN): The Phek District Planning & Development Board (DPDB) meeting was held under the chairmanship of Minister, Power and Parliamentary Affairs and Chairman DPDB, Phek KG Kenye at DPDB Hall Phek on March 13.
The board welcomed the new Deputy Commissioner, John Tsulise Sangtam to the district, stated a DIPR report. At the outset, the chairman on behalf of the Legislators of Phek District, members of DPDB and people of Chakhesang and Pochury of Phek District welcomed the new DC Phek, John Tsulise Sangtam to the district and expressed his happiness and confidence for having an experienced Administrator to run the affairs of the district.
Advisor for New & Renewal Energy & Nagaland State Disaster Management Authority, Z Nyusietho Nyuthe in his short speech said that the people of Phek are fortunate for posting an experienced administrator.
The new DC Phek, John Tsulise Sangtam in his speech acknowledged his gratitude towards Government of Nagaland for trusting him to be the DC of Phek district. He also seeks cooperation from the public of Phek district to enable him for smooth administration of the district forward.
Agenda for registration of society in respect of Cotton Weaving at Sumi Village was thoroughly discussed and forwarded to Government for approval.
Matters regarding regular presences of government officials in the district headquarter was also discussed and deliberated at length. In this regard the Chairman DPDB, KG Kenye and Advisor, Z Nyusietho Nyuthe appealed and urged upon the officers to sincerely attend their duties for public service in the district.
CPO President, Vezuhu Keyho, who was also present at the meeting as invitee, spoke about the need for posting of officers in the district and reminded the officers to be more regular in their place of posting. The President also welcomed the newly posted DC to the Phek District.
Earlier, new DPDB Members, ADC Chozuba, Dr Diana Patton; ADC Pfutsero, Moakumzuk Tsudir; DPO, Atu Vasa and Principal Government Polytechnic Chetheba, Er Keduhiwe Kapfo were also introduced.
The department of Art & Culture and Labour & Employment were entrusted for PowerPoint presentation in the next DPDB meet.
