MLA Dr Neisatuo Mero today inaugurated the new school building of Government Middle School Leshemi under Pfutsero sub division of Phek district.
Addressing the inaugural function, Dr Mero thanked Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and School Education & SCERT Advisor Dr Kekhrielhoulie Yhome for making this new school building possible. He also acknowledged the concerned department, village leaders and everyone involved towards the successful construction of the building.
Maintaining that government schools have qualified teachers to impart quality education to the students, he urged upon the parents to send their children to government schools. Dr Mero called upon the public to protect public properties. Further, he challenged everyone to be a channel of change in their respective area and build a better society.
The programme was chaired by Kethsengupe Losou, head teacher GMS Leshemi while welcome address was delivered by Leshemi Village Council chairman Ngupelo Lasushe. Rev Zhietshute Lasushe, Pastor LBC and Lhouwekhro Sarah, Associate Pastor LBC pronounced invocation and benediction respectively. Vote of thanks was proposed by Isaac Losou, chairman, School Managing Committee.
