Dimapur, April 2 (MExN): The 36th parting social of the Phek Government College was held on March 30 at the college auditorium. During the event, the PGC Principal, Dr. Katoni Jakhalu encouraged the students to believe in themselves and in their world where intolerance and corruption are rampant.
Observing the dexterity of the students, the principal also emboldened them to further use their various skills which might someday be a source of their livelihood.
Besengulie Venuh, Vice Principal PGC also released the college annual magazine, ‘Illumine Excellence’ and extolled the editorial board for their tireless efforts in bringing out their excellent magazine during the course of the function. The event was chaired by Keviriebeinuo Kehie, Asst Professor, English department while the vote of thanks was delivered by Dzeisekholie Keditsu, B.A 6th Semester.
Dr. Atoholi, Asst Professor, Dept of Chemistry invoked God’s blessings and Vevolu Khamo, HOD, Dept of Education said the benediction.
Besides, the Skill Development club also organised an exhibition cum sales day on the same day where handicrafts, traditional woven goods, knitted items etc by the students are showcased and sold to raise fund for the club, a press note informed.
