
PHEK, MAY 7 (MExN): The Phek Government College organised its 40th annual parting social on May 5 at the college auditorium with Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Phek as the Guest of Honor.
The programme began with an invocation by Zomunulu Vese from 4th semester while the welcome address was delivered by the Principal Dr T Tiakaba Jamir. This was followed by release of the college Annual Magazine ‘Rhythmic Reveries’ by the guest of honor. Farewell songs were presented by BA 4th semester students while speeches on behalf of the outgoing and junior were given by Khruve Soho and Kuveduvo Vero. A prayer for the outgoing students was pronounced by Dr Levinu Sakhrie, Assistant professor.
The Deputy Commissioner conveyed his best wishes to the outgoing students and encouraged them on four main key points. Firstly, he emboldened them to never stop believing and to have confidence to face any challenges as failure is the first step to success. Secondly, he asked them to never stop learning and to have consistency in learning. Thirdly, he encouraged them to build a good network in order to reach the destiny and lastly inspired them to become entrepreneurs and to not depend on government jobs alone.
