Phek, October 29 (MExN): A one-day training on the mobile application for Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) was conducted for Block Program Managers, Community Health Officers, and Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs) at Dr Wethselo T Mero Memorial Hall, District Hospital Phek on October 28.

The training was conducted by the National Program for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, CVDs and Stroke (NPCDCS) from Directorate of Health & Family Welfare Kohima, led by Dr Mereninla Senlem, State Program Officer (NCD) along with Dr Ebenezer Pheasao MO (NCD), Vitsiatho Nyuwi, SPO, Tata Trusts and state NCD cell team.

According to a press release from the District Media Officer Kutolu Nakro, the main aim of the training was to orient the health workers on how to use mobile application for tracking all diseases under the NCD programme. The mobile app will strengthen the existing NCD IT system’s suite of six applications for the health workers, it stated.

The resource person Vitsiatho Nyuwi oriented the health workers on how to upload data for those above the age of 30 years, for tracking of all the risk factors under NCD programme. The team also visited NCD clinic at DH, Phek, it added. As per the release, altogether 46 participants attended the training.
