PHEK, NOVEMBER 2 (MExN): In commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of Phek District, the Deputy Commissioner, Phek has informed that mini marathon race will be conducted on December 13 for 18 years and above, covering a distance of seven KMS. In this connection ADC Chozuba, Imokokla has informed the interested participants under Chozuba Sub- Division to get registered from 1st November till 10th December 2023 in the ADC office along with documents for proof of age.
The prizes for the winner will be Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively with five consolation prizes of Rs 1,000 each with certificate. The awards will be sponsored by the Department of Youth Resource & Sports, Government of Nagaland.
The ADC has also instructed all the Village Councils, educational institutions, youth organizations under Chozuba Sub- Division to disseminate the information in their respective jurisdiction for active participation in the marathon. The competition for one day marathon will be held in five locations namely Chizami, Chozuba, Meluri, Pfusero and Phek.
