Phek, July 28 (MExN): ‘World Hepatitis Day’ was observed in Phek on July 28 , with the theme "invest in eliminating hepatitis." The programme was attended by doctors and nurses of District Hospital, CMO and staffs, NGOs and mother association of Phek.
A press release issued by the District Media Officer Phek stated that Dr Ngopelo, Medical specialist spoke on the occasion and highlighted the national viral hepatitis control programme, under which screening and treatment of viral hepatitis will be provided free of cost at designated district hospitals across the state.
Dr Vibeituonuo Mepfuo CMO in her address urged the NGOs and public to spread awareness on hepatitis and treatment facilities available at DH Phek. The programme was chaired by Dr Khalo and vote of thanks was delivered by Dr K Kuotsu.
