Phek, February 13 (MExN): The Phek District Police has informed the general public that the Government of India has launched the MANAS (Madak-Padarth Nished Asoochna Kendra) Helpline - 1933 to empower citizens in the fight against drug abuse and illicit trafficking.
MANAS Helpline - 1933 is a secure, confidential and citizen-centric platform that enables anonymous reporting of drug trafficking, illegal cultivation, and other drug-related offences, according to a release issued by Media Cell, Phek Police.
The helpline also provides counselling, de-addiction and rehabilitation support for individuals affected by substance abuse.
Phek Police appealed all citizens, village councils, youth organizations, students and community leaders to actively participate in creating a drug-free Phek by promptly sharing information and seeking help through MANAS Helpline-1933.
Together, we can safeguard our youth and build a healthier, safer society, the media cell stated.
