Following the arrest of Khochisa Vero son of Khuvetso Vero of Phek Village by the NSCN (K) Mon Town Command on June 8, 2007 at Mon Town where the same was subsequently released by the NSCN (K) Government on June 15, 2007, the Phek Village Council (PVC) has expressed its special appreciation to the individuals and organizations for the tireless efforts rendered out where the former was released unharmed and safely handed over to the family members on the above said day after a required interrogation. PVC has issued this on behalf of the citizens of Phek Community in particular and the whole tribal community in general
The PVC acknowledged the President of Konyak Union, Mon and Tenyimia Union, Mon for rendering hundred percent efforts for the safety release of Khochisa. The Council further acknowledged Besuneyi, District Education Officer (DEO) Mon for generous financial assistance towards the safe release of the same.
The PVC Chairman, Shenutso Soho, and Secretary, Vesakho Vero, further expressed its thanks and gratitude to GPRN/NSCN (K) Chakhesang Region, NSCN (K) Mon Region specially the Commander of Mon Town Command, Akhou, Central Intelligent Officer (CIO) NSCN (K) Mon for maintaining the stability of accepting and reasoning the people’s sentiments. The PVC, further appreciate the NSCN (K) Government for creating a good gesture towards the humanity; ‘this kind of goodwill and worthy exemplary instances should be praise by one and all’, the Council leaders added.
While, appreciating the NSCN (K) Government for accepting the peoples’ appeal as genuine, the PVC further urged the entire Naga National struggle Organizations to follow up the same path and further move forward together with a motive of diminishing the ongoing bad practice of shedding our own brothers’ blood, the Council leaders asserted.
