Jakhama, July 11 (MExN): Philanthropic Association St. Joseph’s College Jakhama held its first orientation programme at the college on July 8 under the theme ‘Service to men is service to God’.
Welcoming the members, Y Benathung Kithan, president of the association, called upon all to be active members. The general secretary, Tsalumli Ayonger highlighted the aims and objectives of the association.
Meanwhile, the director of the association, Prof. Dihe Mao appealed to the young generation to promote and nurture love of humanity, the heart of all religion, and cultivate a sense of caring. He reiterated the association’s objective to be a permanent elucidation to human needs, for which every philanthropist has the duty of relinquishing certain conveniences to play the role of a donor.
The programme, chaired by Vekenshe K. Genevieve, concluded with a vote of thanks from the vice president, Nyiwalo Jemu.
