Joint Director (Dental), Health & Family Welfare, Kohima, Dr. Hotokhu Chishi has declared Philimi village as Tobacco Free Zone becoming the second village next to Gariphema.
Speaking as the chief guest during a seminar on Tobacco Awareness cum Cultural Resuscitation at Philimi on Wednesday, Dr Hotokhu said that the village would now be included in the tobacco free map of the state. He said Philimi village was the first in Zunheboto district to take such initiative and encouraged the citizens to live up to their declaration and stay away from the ill effects of tobacco and its related products.
Earlier, on Tuesday evening, Dr Hotokhu also spoke about the importance of Sutsah (Sumi dialect) and encouraged the gathering to preserve it.
