DIMAPUR, JUNE 11 (MExN): The Pholami Village has refuted to the claimant of Kuvecu Dozo, Chairman of Thuvopisumi over the Pholami Dzudu Lake through the recently inaugurated Microhydel Project at Thuzuru. Head GB of Pholami Village Vesopa Nakro through a press release has questioned the Thuvopisumi Village for claiming the water source just because a river from a particular source is crossing their village.
The Pholami Villagers have strongly stated that its boundary extends to Cura Tsuha below Dzudu Lake towards Thuvopisumi village. “Any interference in regard to Dzudu Lake without the consent of the Village authority by any village, individual or individuals will be considered as disrupting the birth right of the village and will not be tolerated”, Vesopa Nakro said in the release.
Meanwhile, the Pholami Village has thanked the department of Science and Technology Nagaland and Government of India for installing the Microhydel Project at Thuzuru under Phek District. The release has, furthermore requested the concerned department and also the Indian Government to take up more such projects within the district which will contribute to self sufficient power supply.
