Kohima, December 19 (MExN): The 56th sports meet of the Pholami Youth Organisation (PYO) commemorating the trophies of Lt. Küvera Resüh, Lt. Pusütso Resüh and Lt. Hüsühcü Therie culminated on December 19.
The three-days sporting event closing ceremony was graced Kruto Tetseo, State General Secretary ST Morcha, BJP Nagaland as the guest of honour at Govt. High School ground Zasoku.
Speaking during the programme, Tetseo exhorted the players that 'discipline is the key element of sportsmanship' and told them to be consistent in their efforts irrespective of the sports discipline that one plays.
He advised the participants to not self limit for a season but to develop professionalism so as to compete at bigger arenas.
He asserted that not everyone can secure government jobs and a person have to follow one's passion and pursue where one is skilled and he said sports is a promising career.
Tetseo added that the present BJP led government at the center and PDA government is committed for the upliftment of people in the grassroot level and he urged them avail whatever facilities are being made available for the people.
Meanwhile in sporting event, Müdüzu Khel won the Men Football trophy while the runners-up was Thizho Khel.
Rukhro Khel won the Men volleyball championship trophy and the runners-up was Ceka Khel while in women volleyball Nasaku Khel won the trophy and Müdüzu Khel won the runners up.
In Basketball, Upper-1 Khel won the Men basketball trophy and Nasaku Khel was the runners while, Müdüzu Khel won the women basketball trophy and Thizho Khel won the women basketball runners-up trophy.
