Tuensang, June 20 (MExN): Phomla Hoichem Tuensang unit has condemned the rape of two children aged 5 years and 7 years in Tuensang Town on June 15 by a 21-year-old man. Terming the incident “barbaric in nature” and “an act of brutality”, the unit reiterated its condemnation and called upon the right thinking citizens and responsible organizations to come forward and condemn the “heinous” crime. In a press statement, it further appealed to the responsible authority to book the accused under relevant sections of the laws and not grant bail under any circumstances. Meanwhile, it appealed to one and all to comfort the victims' family at this hour of shock and sorrow and requested all to stand by them.
