Photo exhibition on nine years of Seva Sushasan & Garib Kalyan and SVEEP at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya held in Kohima on March 9.
Kohima, March 10 (MExN): Central Bureau of Communication, Field Office Kohima, under the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting organised a photo exhibition on nine years of Seva Sushasan & Garib Kalyan and Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya in Kohima on March 9.
Speaking on the occasion as chief guest, Second-in-Command, 37 Battalion, Border Security Force, Surender Pratap Singh said, the government at the centre’s main focus is to improve the life of the people, stated a press release received here.
Singh said, “India is considered as a poor and illiterate country, but in the last nine years, the Central Government has come up with various schemes meant for the poor people.” However, he lamented that these schemes could not reach all the targeted people on the ground level, due to lack of knowledge. In this regard, he called on the students to take up the responsibility of creating awareness on the various schemes and benefits to the society.
Stating that the young students are the future of India, Singh urged the participants to play a positive role and contribute to the development of the country. Emphasizing on the vision 2047, the Second-in-Command appealed to the students to develop a mindset of hard work and dedication to take our nation forward.
Singh also exhorted the teachers to be aware of the problems the students are facing, such as stress, drugs and behavioral conducts. He urged teachers not to concentrate in teaching their subject topics alone, but guide the young people in becoming good human being, so that they can handle their situation effectively and become responsible citizens.
On the occasion, the chief guest gave away and citation to the winners of the various competitions organized by the Central Bureau of Communication, Field Office Kohima. The competitions were held on Poster making, Slogan writing and Painting on the topic, Vikshit Bharat, Clean & Ethical elections and 9 years of seva, Sushasan & Garib Kalyan.
