Dimapur, June 7 (MExN): Two carcasses of full-grown pigs were found dumped near Ciepi, Porba village along the Pfutsero-Phek road by unidentified persons causing a grave threat to public health and safety, the State DIPR reported.
Citing the EAC Pfutsero, Dr Riku Khutso, it informed that spot verification was conducted with the Police, village authorities, NGO, and Department of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Pfutsero, and the carcasses were safely disposed off and due investigation is being carried out.
Accordingly, the EAC has informed the general publicto remain vigilant for such cases and report immediately to the concerned authorities, it added.
