Wokha, July 18 (MExN): Livelihood Enterprise Development (LED) Programme on piggery farming training under NABARD Assistance, which began from June 20, concluded at Wokha on July 18.
A press release issued by the Chairman, Mass education Welfare Society (MEWS) stated that the LEDP Training was inaugurated by Poji DDM Wokha on June 20, at Mass Educational Welfare Society Training Hall Wokha. A total of 5 batch with total trainees of 167 SHG members from 28 credit linked and mature SHG from Wokha District attended the programme. District Veterinary Hospital Wokha was the Resource Agency and implemented by Mass Educational Welfare Society Wokha, a small formal valedictory function was held on July 18, with Lipok Ozukum BM CBI Wokha, Masheto Nandu BM NStCB and Dr N Morothung Ezung (VAS) District Veterinary Hospital, it added.
The chairman MEWS in the release also stated that he is hopeful that with this training programme many genuine piggery farmers will come up in Wokha with the application of Modern scientific farming, which will uplift the social economic conditions of the district.
