Pikato V Awomi withg his gold medal.
Dimapur, January 26 (MExN): Pikato V Awomi of Nagaland won a gold medal in the Under-23 male -54 kg category at the 7th Muaythai Senior National Championship held from January 22 to 25 in Telangana.
The championship marked Pikato’s first appearance at the national level. Competing against participants from across the country, he secured the top position in his weight category while representing Nagaland.
Pikato has been training at Strike-Fit Academy, Nagaland, under Coach Hemavi Ayemi, who is a National Coach of the Indian Muaythai Team. His performance at the championship was attributed to his preparation and training under the academy.
He represented the state under the banner of the All Nagaland Amateur Muaythai Association (ANAMA).
